Back to "normal"?

Sun, 16 Jan 2011 13:26:12 +0100

Well, the holidays are over; courses started again... motivation is maybe the wrong thing to search, but somehow we're getting along.

Still somewhere hidden on my hard drive are pictures of a lot of destinations in India... because after Mumbai things were not finished, of course...

So today's pictures are from Goa; a place in India which is not India (much like Switzerland in Europe which is not Europe). No long talking! Pictures!

The glamour of Bollywood

We spent some nice relaxing days in Mumbai, which is probably the most westernized city in whole India...

Michael which joined us for two weeks must have got a totally wrong impression :-) Beef all the time, relatively quiet streets, etc... For Pascal and me, the change from the hardcore-Indian Chennai was really welcome.

Mumbai we come!!

Finally... exams done, travel plans established and off we go

Tomorrow, 5.30 a.m. the taxi is going to pick us up and we fly to Mumbai. After a couple of days there, we head south up to Goa, where we are going to do a dive course... (wooooooot diving!!!)

On the 18th we're gonna be back in IITM (yes, you have the right to expect pictures...). Some couple of days later, we're heading to Bangalore by Bus, afterwards I'm heading to Kochin where I will join my parents and girlfriend... :D

After a nice backwater trip, the itinerary already leads me back to Chennai for the beginning of the new semester...

THAT month is going to be a really cool one!!!

Welcome to India, part 3 #@%&%!!

India strikes back at you when you think you know it... In all the ways it can!

Oh, you have a déjà vu? Well I had one... not exactly, rather a déjà felt... but stronger...

Monday night, having dinner at one of the restaurants inside IIT, finally again some meat, not only the vegetarian food all the time. Who would have thought of anything bad?

The next morning − we wanted to go swimming − I told my friend that it was not my day and stayed in bed for some more time... I was feeling dizzy... later on I found out that I had some fever and hence decided to stay in bed, rather than going to my courses.

With the fever raising and now also diarrhea, I decided to go to the hospital to seek some doctors advice, whether this is not something more serious. They were quite quickly pretty sure that this was a food poisoning... :(

The night and the next day only got worse, vomiting (yes, of course!), diarrhea and fever. No desire to eat, but of course the need to, etc... But: I had some medicine (see picture) :S

A long story short, I stayed in bed for almost three days and still haven't entirely recovered...

The conclusion remains...

Through the Monsoooooooon... blargh...

Tokio Hotel are really pussy's if they have to fight to get through the Monsoon...

Yes, it is finally here, the long awaited Monsoon rain started some couple of days ago. But basically it is just like autumn in middle Europe, not really a big deal, just crappy weather all the time.

Furthermore, and that's the less cool part of it, the temperatures clearly dropped down some couple of degrees (that's still, literally, cool) and taking showers is now something freezing cold (uncool, since cold).

These days I cannot go to the pool because of some minor ear problem, so washing becomes a real pain :S

Wish me good luck and cold resistance and have a nice Halloween you people. Yes, here it is already Halloween, but I guess nobody cares.
